Eurocup 2015 - Switzerland

19th Carrom Eurocup

(under the auspices of the European Carrom Confederation)

from 27th to 31st August in Lungern, Switzerland

Dear Carrom friends

The Swiss Carrom Association hereby kindly invites you to the 19th Eurocup in Lungern starting on August 27th 2015! It was our goal to yet show our participants another mountain region of Switzerland after Flumserberg and Lenk! We are convinced that with Lungern we were able to do so and we hope that many of you will come to find out! In the midst of our preparation our National Bank did not only catch all investors on the wrong foot, but the strengthening of the Swiss Franc also hit us very hard! When we fixed the price with the hotel 320 CHF was exactly 260 EUR, nowadays it’s around 300 EUR! We discussed this many times internally, but we see ourselves forced to pass this difference in currency on to all of you! When we look at the Eurocup 2009 in Lenk the cost was 333 Swiss Francs, so even more than now, but at that time that was only 210 in EURO! On the other hand we do all in our might to encourage young participants and therefore charge only 220 CHF for all participants under 18, 160 CHF for under 7 and children under 2 are free of cost!

So, enough about money! Dear friends, please come to the heart of Switzerland to celebrate 30 years of our association, to compete in a beautiful place, to have fun and to enjoy together with us that highlight that by now has so much tradition! We are looking forward to seeing you all and we won’t give up looking for some sponsors; we won’t be able to change the price, but why not some free beers!))

See you all in Lungern!
